Meet Dr. Brandie Ard
Dr. Brandie Ard
Dentist
Dr. Brandie Ard was born and raised in Grambling, Louisiana. Although she did not attend Grambling State University, she always roots for her home teams in Louisiana, especially the New Orleans Saints, WHO DAT! Dr. Ard is a retired rolling stone who has spent time living in Florida, attending undergraduate school at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Nashville, TN where she obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery(DDS) degree from Meharry Medical College. She then moved to Rhode Island, where she started her, now over decade long, career as a dentist. She received the National Health Service Corp Scholarship while attending Meharry Medical College for her passion to serve the underserved. After graduating, she worked for over 8 years with homeless patients and patients with little to no income, providing dental health services for free or reduced rates. Dr. Ard decided to make Atlanta her home permanently after getting married and having two beautiful boys. In her spare time, Brandie enjoys traveling, live music, and attending sporting events, especially T-Ball these days!
Dr. Ard, unlike many, enjoyed her childhood visits to the dentist in her adolescent years which sparked her interest in dentistry. Dr. Ard loves changing a patient’s perspective on the “dreaded” trip to the dentist. She wholeheartedly believes going to the dentist can be an enjoyable and relaxing experience. The secret ….communication!
Dr. Brandie Ard is one of Atlanta Magazine’s Top Dentists, is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, National Dental Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
